Get Great Abs,

But More Importantly, Get A Healthier Lifestyle, And A Whole Lot More!

With all the confusing information on the media today its no wonder why most people give up on even trying to be healthy. The negative messages we receive through our entertainment and others do nothing to help curb this downward spiral either. So what will? Hard work, determination, starvation dieting, and lifting weights until you drop?

Well some hard work and determination. But most of it isn't at the gym; most of it is on the inside. To start anything first there must be change on the inside. Then you need to make and stick to goals. Once you have those two down its time to fuel up with sound nutrition before you dive into exercise. And finally the biggest step is changing your association.

My experience is that clients achieve their fitness / fatloss goals much better when we take information away from them.

Getting great abs seems to  be the primary, initial reason why most cosult with me.  We have many many success stories of clients achieving great abs (the smallest waist line of their adult life) in as little as 12 weeks.  Even client in their 40's and 50's.  To see their incredible stories go to http://www.fatlosslifestyle.com   But ironically,  what they experience is all the other benefits of a healthy lifestyle far out weigh achieving a muscular midsection.   Now don't get me wrong, I understand that great abs has been a symbol of sexuality, virility, and power since the beginning of time.

Positive Mind Set
The greatest conducive element to any plan is a positive attitude. We're not talking about just words here or just a mask. A real positive attitude stems form within; it becomes the very fabric of your being. You know you have one when people ask you what your happy pills are, because no amount of time and unforeseen occurrence really can bring you back down because you really to see past that. And rather than seeing a setback as a step down, see it as a step up to something better than you had originally planned.

How does one go about cultivating a positive self? The key word is "cultivate." It stems from slow change from within and without. Start by making a notation of every time you put yourself down or your situation down. After a day or two you may be fascinated by all those negative thoughts. Now that you know they are there you can slowly change them to positive ones. For some that is as easy as adding the word "yet." Other choices should include visualizing positive outcomes, using motivational tapes with positive messages, and other forms of stress relieve that may work for you.
On the subject of stress, we cannot emphasis enough the importance of living a more stress free life. Stress is one of the most major causes of disease and ill health on the planet. It tops the list with hospitals, modern medical care, poor nutrition, lack of exercise, and subluxations. Wile doctors tout the symptoms of stress they rarely list on their annual reports the causes of these diseases. Stress really is one of the top killers in society. There's good stress and bad stress. We are talking about the bad stress. Learn what triggers your stress and how to manage it and effectively reduce it.
Reducing the stress in your life can do wonders for your health and waistline. Studies have shown that a reduction in stress has improved the metabolism in those under study. So living a more positive life with less stress can mean a lean and healthy you.

Goal setting
Next we need to talk a bit about goal setting. To effectively make any change in any lifestyle goals need to be set. You need something to work towards. Start by setting small goals such as dietary changes to make every week and scheduling your work out times and sticking to them. Start with a 12 week assessment goal. Give yourself 12 weeks to try all the changes, making one new one in each area of your life each week over the course of the 12 weeks. Week one may include eating more servings of healthy food, drinking more water, going to the gym at least 3 days per week, and going for a brisk walk daily. And weeks two through 12 make each goal a little bigger.

Nutrition
Enough cannot be said about the effects of a good diet on building a lean and healthy body. Your optimal eating habits should include eating lean protein, at least 5 servings of fresh fruits and vegetables, be sure to take a daily multi vitamin, eat the right carbohydrates and fats, and do not diet. Erase the word diet form your vocabulary. Be sure to check out my other articles for advice on nutrition. A sound and healthy body is dependent on sound nutrition.

Exercise
You should aim for no less than 3 hours of cardio per week. This should be spread out over 3 or more days. And also aim to spend 2 to 3 hours on muscle building exercise. This may include weight training, aqua aerobics, or other forms of muscle training. You can do all the fat burning and cardio you want, but if you don't build lean muscle mass your body wont turn up its metabolism. The more lean muscle tissue you have, the more fat you will burn. Do it and learn to love it.

Social Support
Along with all these lifestyle changes you may wonder how you will meet with all the negative talk form your current support system of friends and family. For the first 12 weeks, shun them. Tell them you are on a mission and need all the free time you have. Then find others who have traveled the path you are embarking on. Build up a new support group of individuals that will help you and inspire you to keep your goals and new habits. After the 12 weeks are over you can reassess and perhaps add in small amounts of time with your old support group. Just don't overdue it. There is a saying that we are the sum total of those around us. So in order to affect change from within, we need to change those we associate with.

Effecting Change
Once you have started on your path to make over yourself and your life you will come across more and more information. Listen to it, think about it, and asses the truth and wisdom in it. Every new bit of information that has to do with your lifestyle take and compare it with what you already know.
The benefits of achieving a lean and healthy body through a well thought out fitness plan and through stress management and positive thinking will not only be more long herm than a get skinny quick scheme, you can add year to your life and life to your years. You will obtain more energy and seem to have more time on your hands than ever before.

That's the good and positive results of having a positive mindset, goals, and eating plan, and scheduling in the appointment of exercise every day. Using your newfound social support as your go to for strength and your inward determination as your foundation, you can have a lean and sexy body that will give you the confidence and lead to an even more positive and productive life.

You can achieve anything that you can perceive.  You must see it first.  Knowledge does not mean results.  Your actions, day in and day out, equal results.
